What Illinois Law Requires of Every Pest Control Company

Illinois regulates commercial pest control the same way it regulates other licensed trades. The Illinois Department of Public Health requires every commercial pest control business to employ at least one certified technician. That license needs proof of required insurance, and it renews annually by December 1, or the business owes added fees and fines, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

A-1 Pest Master Exterminating Company Inc. is a licensed pest control business, and our technicians are certified, licensed exterminators. We're also a member of the Illinois Pest Control Association. Those credentials are why homeowners, property managers, and businesses across Chicago call us before they call anyone else.

How Long Has A-1 Pest Master Served Chicago?

Isaac and Juanita Hill founded A-1 Pest Master in Chicago in August 1984. As of 2026, we've served Chicago and Chicagoland for more than 40 years, hold an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, and have been featured on ABC 7 Chicago News.

That A+ rating comes with something more specific: the Better Business Bureau has rated A-1 Pest Master top-rated for service and reliability four years running. Forty years in one trade, in one city, teaches you which roach species show up in which basements and which raccoon families keep coming back to the same soffit gap. Service Area Coverage Across Chicago and Chicagoland

A-1 Pest Master covers Chicago proper, Chinatown, Berwyn, and the South and West suburbs that make up Chicagoland. Coverage that wide matters because pest pressure isn't uniform across the city. Cockroaches surge every July and thrive in apartment buildings and multi-unit dwellings through the summer, especially in denser neighborhoods and in Calumet City. A walk-up near Chinatown needs a different roach response than a single-family home out west.
